New Survey Results Regarding Home Care Agencies

Can senior living providers compete with traditional home care agencies like Home Instead and Right at Home? According to a new survey, the answer is a resounding YES.

The HomeCare Advocacy Network (HCAN) recently conducted a survey. This survey was of more than 200 women age 45+ – typically the primary decision-makers when it comes to caring for aging loved ones. The results, released at the Senior Living 100 conference, confirmed what we’ve long believed. That is if senior living providers aren’t offering in-home services, they’re missing an incredible opportunity.

Some of the survey results were surprising – even to us. For example:

  • More than 95% of respondents said they would be somewhat or very interested in-home care services. Primarily if offered by a respected, local senior care community – prior to moving into the community.
  • Nearly 50% of respondents said they would likely engage a respected senior care community. Strictly to provide in-home services over other options, including Home Instead (24%), Right at Home (15%), and Senior Helpers (11%).
  • More than 85% of respondents said if a senior care community is already providing aging loved ones with in-home care, it would positively impact the decision to eventually move them into that community.

While the opportunity is there, senior living providers have historically struggled with in-home service delivery.

We founded HCAN to help providers successfully compete with, instead of partner with, home care agencies in their community. Keeping that revenue in-house by delivering the in-home services that families not only want but, as our survey shows, now expect.

The HCAN business format franchise partnership is designed to help providers take advantage of the traditional home care model that’s proven to be successful. HCAN experts provide the training, structure, and system support needed to help providers successfully add in-home services to their business while keeping their brand at the forefront

Our model also supports extending services off-campus. This will give providers an opportunity to establish relationships with families early on in their senior care journey. This would be paving the way for the eventual transition into their community.

Adding an in-home care division could be a game-changer for senior living providers – shifting the market significantly. And we can help you succeed in a very competitive industry. To learn more, contact us at partner@hcanthrive.com or 402.359.1996.
